Sowing Is Reaping   1 comment

Do you know that what you sow is what you reap, even in multiples? It is a true statement in all ramifications!

For this reason, if you want peace to reign in your home, begin to sow and reap love.

Sow a thought of love,
And you reap an act of love.

Sow an act of love,
And you reap a habit of love.

Sow a habit of love,
And you reap a character of love.

Sow a character of love,
And you reap a destiny of love.

This is the truth of life and the top secret of peace in the home.

A Fool Is A Fool   Leave a comment

A fool is a fool,
Dont be a fool.

A fool can be rich,
He remains a bitch.

‘I, me, my, myself’
Are the words of a fool.

A fool, a rich fool,
Who thinks not of others.

A fool is a fool,
Don’t be a fool.

A fool can be married,
And have children.

She may have a home,
She will pulls it down:
With her own hands.

An enemy of her children,
No compassion for the young ones she has.

A fool is a fool,
Don’t be a fool,
That your labour might not be in vain.

A fool is always a fool,
Lifted up, crowned or
In a place of authority.

Don’t be a fool,
For the foolishness of
A fool will mar him.

Don’t be a fool,
’cause a fool will wail
Like a jackal
And mourn like an Ostrich.

Don’t be an Ostrich,
Whose wounds are
incurable.
And will lick her
finger forever.

Therefore,
Seek peace,
Seek rest,
Seek wisdom,
Seek knowledge,
Seek understanding.

Do not resign to fate,
Loss is not your lot.
Seek peace! Pursue peace!
Until your Jerusalem has peace.

Lest I Forget!   Leave a comment

As you have seen clearly in the two case studies we have examined in the last two write-ups,SEEK PEACE in the home, your Jerusalem; PURSUE PEACE outside it.
It is a must to Seek Peace in the home. This calls for sacrifice by all means possible. It must be with love not law or by force.
It must be gently and patiently sought UNTIL it is attained and retained permanently. The value of peace within your householm is well spent out in Ecclesiastes 4:12 thus,
‘Though one may be overpowered
by another,two can withstand
him.
And a threefold cord is not quickly
broken.
In brief, this verse tells us that a man or woman alone may be easily overpowered by another person. However,a man and his wife will surely withstand an opponent.
That will happen if tiere is peace between them.
Do you see that it is a must? Tha verse concludes that a family of father, mother and their children,a threefold cord,is not easily broken. How more difficult will it be if other members of a household are brought in?
The effectiveness and efficiency of a peaceful home is rightly put thus
‘…one chase a thousand,
And two put ten thousand to flight,…’ Deuteronomy 32:32a.
This can be interpreted that as one chases a thousand, two will put ten thousand to flight and three will drite away one hundred thousand. That is a threefold cord in action for you.
There are three enemies of every home, ditto mankind. These are satan, sin and the world. Each of these enemies is strong enough to distablise a home,if care is not taken. That is why every resources within the home must be deployed to chase these enemies away for peace to reign.
The combined effort of the members of a peaceful household will overcome these permanent enemies. If there is no fears within the home, the war without can be fought and won.
Even members of a home must not lose sight of the fact that the peace in the home does not guarantte peace outside but will surely pave the way for it.
Each member must know that there is war without and must be fought. Know this that every war has battles contained within it. Satanic war is there. Sin war is not wanted. War from the world is ever present!
Peace must therefore be pursued by chasing these enemies who are ever ready to invade every home away.
Read the lamentation of a man in Jeremiah10:20,
‘My tent (home) is plundered,
And all my cords are broken,
My children have gone from me,
And they are no more.
There is no one to pitch my tent
anymore,
Or set up my curtains.’
The cords were broken because they were weak as a result of lack of unity and peace. Do you love to lament like him? Please be wise, seek peace in the home and pursue it outside. It shall be well with you.

Three Things About Peace(1)   Leave a comment

Three Things About Peace
Thanks to God,the source of all inspirations for the grace He gave us to discuss the Two Legs Of A Peaceful Home. There are lots of things to chew over about our homes and their peace.Just pray for me that the Lord should give me more of all things needed to carry out the assignment.I believe whoever comes here will not regret it.So tell others about what you read here.
May God give me the grace,I’m planning to post contents on this blog three times a week:on Monday,Wednesday and Friday. This will give us enough materials to make every visitor have an improvement on the peace of his/her home. Please, pray along with me.
Now,let us begin to discuss one by one the Three Things About Peace.
The First Thing You Must Know About Peace is the fact that Peace is very FRAGILE.Peace can easily be broken. It is fragile in the real sense of the word.It must be delicately handled. It can be compared,to a reasonable extent, with an egg.Think for a moment on the type of care that a raw egg demands to be safe.
Think also of an egg that falls to the ground from a dinning table. What use can you make of it? If it will be of use at all,can you benefit optimally from it as much as if it has not broken?
Peace can also be compared with a mirror. What serious effort does it take to break a mirror? A little carelessness can turn a life-size mirror into particles.Do you agree? Which is of more use,an unbroken mirror or particles of a mirror? You know better!
This must be the way,the best way,I think,to perceive peace, most importantly in your home. You can not afford to be careless about it.It requires absolute care.Give it all you have got to ensure that it is not broken even for a minute.
If it is broken for a minute,it may not be easily ‘repaired’ or it may become irreparable. The arc-enemy of man does not look for a very big space or opportunity to strike but a little, very little opening.Made available, anything might be the result, unfavourable result.
Let me state here the story of a family of three,
father, mother and their son, about five years old.On that fateful afternoon, they have just listened to the world News on their TV set.One of the major stories was about the raging war in another country. At the end of the news, the son asked his father,’How does a war begins?’ Before the man could utter a world, the woman said angrily,’James,(not real name of the husband) you better tell that boy the truth! Let him know how a war starts!’ She said it at the top of her voice and she banged the door of her room and went in because she was at the threshhold of the door already.
The young boy did not permit the father to speak before he,the boy, said,’Daddy,I perfectly understand how a war begins.you don’t need to tell me anything’.
From the little action of the woman, what do you think cannot be the result. If care was not taken, the home will be on fire. You think of it.Was the woman invited to participated in the father-son questions and answers season? What,in the first instance, ignited the fire of anger in the woman? Why must she interrupted the affairs of the other members unlovingly? Why did she not wait for he man to give his answer first? Was her husband a reknown liar? What impression was she giving the boy?
Thank God that the boy quickly understood the scenario. He immediately locked the door of confusion opened by his mother by her anger.
If care is not taken, peace in the home can easily be broken. It may be very difficult to restore while in many cases, restoration may not be possible.Peace in the home is fragile, keep it with absolute care!

A Lover Called The Prince Of Peace   Leave a comment

Each person alive crave for love. Those who mistakenly say that they don’t need love say so out of frustration. In an attempt to get a lover,a lot of people, young and old, male and female, educated and uneducated, ended falling into the hands of lust partners or those with evil desires. This happens because of wrong meanings given to love and failure of mankind to acknowledge the Greatest Lover called The Prince of Peace.
A Prophet some centuries ago made known the heart of the Creator of the Universe when he said about a child to be born,
“For unto us a child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called…Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government
and peace
There will be no end….”
Irrespective of your age, race, religion, and so on,you need Him.One thing is sure, that is,He loves you.All that you need to do is to embrace His love.He assures you this way,
Peace I leave with you,My peace I give to you;
not as the world gives do I give to you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
Do you need a better assurance than this from anybody? The peace that the world offers does not last long.It is deceitful and therefore unreliable. It is not even stable. It fluctuates. On the other hand, peace that the Prince of Peace offers is far superior and not comparable with any other peace.
According to the prophet’s statement, the enthronment of Him into your heart to govern it will make Him responsible for all that your live needs. What else do you want from a lover? Not only this, the relationship and the peace attached to it will increase.
It will not come to an end.Can you imagine such a relationship or government? He expresses His love to you this way,if you can receive Him as your Lover for life,
“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends,
If you do whatever I command you.”
Obedience is the key to sustaining the friemdship or love.
How happy will you be if you have a child,a friend or an associate that does what you hate? You won’t be happy,I know.In the same way,if you obey the Prince of Peace as your Lover, your life will radiate great glory.Every commandment He has brought under,
“And you shall love the Lord your God
with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind.and with all your strength….
You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
If you determine to obey Him,you will as from today run away from all those acts that will make God and mankind sad.You will not engage in activities that will hurt your fellow man.To experience the peace that He offers, most especially in your home, whether you are a father, mother or child.
1.Invite the Prince of Peace into your life now.Tell Him to come into your heart and reside there forever.
2.Tell Him to forgive all your past misdeeds and to give you the power and the grace to do bad things no more.
3.Tell Him to take over the government of your life and home, now and forever more.
